Importance of reforestation
  1. This area closed for reforestation (Cerro Largo) is located between 1750 and 1800 meters above sea level on the banks of the Yuspe river, forming part of the Pampa de Achala Provincial Water Reserve and the Sierras Grandes cordon that are very important for the province since This is where most of the rivers that provide water to the entire province are born, in addition to attracting a large number of tourists per year and having a very particular biodiversity, this reforestation program with tobacco tries to add one more grain of sand to the work carried out by the Conservation and Reforestation Project of the Sierras de Córdoba currently directed by the Biologist Ricardo Suarez and other projects carried out in the Pampa de Achala Hydric Reserve and the Quebrada del Condorito National Park, we know that these mountains act as a water tank at the moment in that rains the water enters the surface of the earth that then gradually releases through the countless views groves, streams and rivers of these mountains, providing water to the province throughout the year, but the livestock activity of several years ago has turned these mountains into extensive areas of grazing lawns with very compacted soils and rock exposed by erosion. with gullies and some grasslands that advance since it is forbidden to use fire in the mountains. With the aim of recovering the original ecosystem of these mountains, we work reforesting with tobacco, which is the tree that forms the forests in these mountains, also knowing that these reforestation tasks provide many benefits such as "economic benefits such as those brought by tourism or obtaining water in quantity and quality "" aesthetic benefits of being able to travel through forests with streams of crystalline waters enjoying the pleasure of traveling through a natural environment "and" environmental benefits such as everything that forests provide us either by purifying the air fixing the carbon dioxide, bringing life together in the place, providing a space for it both for flora, fauna, fungi, etc., supporting the soil where the water reserve accumulates, reducing the power of floods, etc. and a lot more, So I invite you all to join in this beautiful activity. 2. In 2012, by mutual agreement, it was agreed to create a fence closure in Cerro Largo. During 2013, the Ing. A. Pagliari School committed itself to being the first school to create a reforestation area with all its stages. It means that the first task was to carry out the wiring to prevent the existing livestock in the area from eating the tobacco seedlings that we plant in the future, so we began with the arduous work of transporting all the wired material, posts that were more than 80 of itin which are heavy, and almost 500 rods, which were drilled prior to the construction of the wire, in addition to transporting all their personal luggage, work tools, groceries, etc. each time they traveled to the area. an enormous task done by students of this beautiful elementary school, concluding with the first improvement of the position "the subfloor"
